OVERVIEW

Excursion focused on spotting one of the rarest and most mythical animals in all of South America: the MANED WOLF (Crisocione).

Visit to a private area near the Piquiri River, in a very remote region (approximately 4 hours by boat from Porto Jofre). The excursion can be arranged in two ways:

* Staying on site for only a couple of hours while waiting for the maned wolf to appear;
* Staying overnight at the location (a simple pousada, but with all the necessary comforts for an overnight stay).

With the first option, you usually reach the site in the afternoon and wait for the animal in order to take photographs (often from very close range). After a maximum of about two hours, you return to the pousada in Porto Jofre.

With the second option, you arrive at the site in the afternoon, have dinner there, stay overnight at the pousada, and return to Porto Jofre the following morning after breakfast.

Naturally, with this second option the chances of seeing and taking excellent photos of the maned wolf increase significantly.

This tour is an extension for those who are already staying in the Porto Jofre region.
